How the fee is charged
Shopify Payments takes a percentage of the amount charged plus €0.30 per transaction in Portugal. The percentage depends on the store’s plan and on the card: a standard card costs 1.8% + €0.30 on Basic and 1.35% + €0.30 on Plus; an American Express card costs 3% + €0.30 on Basic and 2.55% + €0.30 on Plus; an international card costs 3% on Basic and 2.55% on Plus.

A store that takes payment through another provider instead pays Shopify a transaction fee on those orders: 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced, 0.2% on Plus.
In your margin
A card fee is a cost of every order, and it grows with what the customer pays, so a discount lowers it and paid shipping raises it. Offer Suite costs it in every forecast as a rate plus a fixed amount per order, 2.9% + $0.30 unless you change it: the Basic rate in the United States. Set both to your plan’s row above and every offer’s margin is costed at what a store in Portugal pays.
The fee on this page is computed by the same margin engine, so the figure in the table is the one a forecast subtracts.
