Where Offer Suite is different
- Costs are dated. ABConvert's docs cost an order with your product costs, one average shipping cost per order and a fee rule. Offer Suite costs each order at the costs in effect on its date, from a dated ledger. A correction restates past orders in the current view, which experiments use, and the as-recorded view keeps what each order was booked with, so the change is traceable.
- Realized profit is tracked per offer option from the orders themselves: net of refunds, subscription renewals apart, cancelled orders left out and counted separately.
- Nothing goes live until a real Shopify cart charges exactly what the offer promises.
- Offers are documents your agents write through an API, validated before anything reaches Shopify. Your developers can render them anywhere, or a merchant adds the Verified offer theme block and pastes the offer's id, with no developer needed.
- Offer Suite tests offer versions only. A price test is one of them: the challenger charges a lower line price than the catalog, on one-time items, on any Shopify plan, shown at checkout as the product's own price.
Questions
Is Offer Suite an ABConvert alternative?
For offers, partly. ABConvert tests prices, shipping, pages, themes and checkout as well as offers, and Offer Suite only builds, verifies and measures offers. If you test themes, pages or checkout, Offer Suite doesn't replace that. If your question is what each offer option earns after costs and renewals, that is what Offer Suite is built for.
Do both measure profit per visitor?
Yes. ABConvert reports profit per visitor from revenue less product cost, shipping cost and transaction fees, as set in its cost settings. Offer Suite's experiments decide on realized profit per visitor: each arm's first orders, net of refunds, costed from its dated cost ledger.
