## How the fee is charged

Shopify Payments takes a percentage of the amount charged plus SGD 0.50 per transaction in Singapore. The percentage depends on the store’s plan and on the card: a standard card costs 3.2% + SGD 0.50 on Basic and 2.9% + SGD 0.50 on Plus; an American Express card costs 3.6% + SGD 0.50 on Basic and 3.3% + SGD 0.50 on Plus; an international card costs 3.6% + SGD 0.50 on Basic and 3.3% + SGD 0.50 on Plus; a card taken in person costs 3% + SGD 0.50 on Basic and 2.6% + SGD 0.50 on Plus.

- Fee = amount charged × the plan’s rate for the card, rounded to the smallest unit of the currency, + the fixed amount

A store that takes payment through another provider instead pays Shopify a transaction fee on those orders: 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced, 0.2% on Plus.

## In your margin

A card fee is a cost of every order, and it grows with what the customer pays, so a discount lowers it and paid shipping raises it. Offer Suite costs it in every forecast as a rate plus a fixed amount per order, 2.9% + $0.30 unless you change it: the Basic rate in the United States. Set both to your plan’s row above and every offer’s margin is costed at what a store in Singapore pays.
